Information regarding NU Domain Name Privacy:
The "Privacy Protect" or "ID Protection" feature does not apply to the .NU Top Level Domain, but only to the traditional and the new generic Top Level Domains such as .com, .net, etc.
.NU registrant privacy works as follows, in order to conform to European privacy laws:
If a .NU Domain is registered to an individual, then the registrant contact details remain private.
If a .NU Domain is registered to a corporation or other organization, then the company details portion of the contact details are made public. In other words, the company name and address etc are public; but the name and email address of the contact individual remain private.
The .NU registry determines whether the domain is registered to an individual or to an organization based upon whether or not there is anything entered in the Organization field of the contact details. If the Organization field is empty, the whois contact details are private. If the Organization field is populated, then the Organization portion of the whois contact details are made public.
